Organic Melissa essential oil, with its lemon scent, has calming and sedative properties. In general, it also makes digestion easier.
This essential oil helps to face anxiety and nerve crises. Melissa is sometimes called "citronella" because of its leaves' scent when crushed.
The name "Melissa" comes from the Greek word "melissa", which means bee, because the bees' favourite plant to make honey is said to be Melissa.
Melissa is grown in Europe and in the United States. Its properties have been known since antiquity.
Melissa essential oil is used :
- Skin application : diluted in vegetable oil (30% maximum) for massages or in frictions on the chosen area.
- Diffusion : 5 to 10 drops in a diffuser.
Do not exceed the recommended doses (ask your physician or a pharmacist specializing in aromatherapy).
