Organic Tea Tree essential oil is anti-infective and antifungal; it is widely used in aromatherapy.

It is also efficient for skin problems (acne, herpes, pimples, etc.) because it helps to tighten the pores and cleanse the skin's impurities.

This essential oil is also used to disinfect linen and notably washable diapers (to add to the water with soap in which the diapers soak before the washing).

 

Tea tree was used by the Indigenous Australians as a remedy for several ills. Its name was given by Captain Cook, who looked for vegetable leaves for its "English tea", when he arrived in Australia around 1770.

Tea Tree essential oil is used :

- Skin application : Tea Tree essential oil may be applied on the skin provided that it is diluted (20% maximum) in vegetable oil, Sweet Almond vegetable oil for instance.

- In diffusion : 5 to 10 drops in a diffuser.  

 

It is preferable to apply this essential oil on the skin to enjoy the best of its active ingredients.

 

Do not exceed the recommended doses (ask your physician or a pharmacist specializing in aromatherapy).

Do not use continuously in diffusion.

Avoid contact with eyes, ears or nose (except application mentioned in the conditions of use)

Avoid pure essential oil contact with skin (except application mentioned in the conditions of use)

Wash hands thoroughly, preferably with soap, after each use in massage.
